Meetup —
open door, and a roster so people see who’s coming
People come to a meetup because of who else is coming. This kind has no cap and uses the Roster layout, so the card in the chat or the community forum lists the names, and someone on the fence sees three people they know and taps to join.
What the group sees
Choose Meetup and the event is set to one tap to join, no limit, one plus-one per person, in the Roster layout. Type the café and the time, and the card lists everyone who is in, numbered, with the total in the corner. Share it in the group, the forum, or as a story image with a QR code.

Newcomers open the link, see the roster, and add their name; regulars see a familiar list. The page has Open in Maps for the venue, the calendar invite, and a Share this event card so anyone can pass it on to a friend with the details written out.

What it does for you
The Roster layout prints the names. A meetup with twelve names on the card fills faster than one with a number.
The Share card writes the message for them: title, date, place, count, link.
Nobody creates an account to say they are coming. Tap, name, done.

Can I keep the names private?
Yes. Hide attendee names shows only the count, on the card and the page.
Is there a limit to how many can join?
None by default. Add a cap when the venue has one; the waitlist takes the rest.
How do I post it somewhere that does not unfurl links?
Use the story image or the flyer; both carry a QR code that opens the page.
