Free Baby Shower Planner:
Gifts, RSVPs and Prep

The guest list is spread over three chats and nobody knows who already bought the car seat. Plan the shower on links instead: a sheet where each guest claims a gift, an invite that counts who is coming and how many they bring, and a prep list the hosts tick off. Guests open them with one tap, with no account and nothing to download.

How to run the shower from the chat

1
List the gifts

Open Sheet on the Gift sign-up template. Type each gift down the first column, with the size or brand beside it. The Getting it column is set up for sign-ups, so every gift without a name shows as Open.

2
Send the invite

Make an Event with the date, the address and plus-ones allowed. Guests answer Going, Maybe or Can’t go, and the card counts heads, so you know how many chairs and how much cake.

3
Watch it fill

Guests put their name next to a gift; the next person sees it taken and picks another. Share either link again closer to the day and the new card shows what is still open.

Built for the aunts, the coworkers and the college friends

🎁
Gifts from anywhere

A sheet is not tied to one store. Mix registry picks, a hand-me-down crib and a homemade quilt, and put store links in the sheet’s description, where they are clickable.

🚫
No second car seat

Each gift shows the name of the guest getting it, so two people never buy the same thing, and the card says how many gifts are still open.

📲
One tap from any chat

The link opens in iMessage, WhatsApp, Messenger or a Facebook group. Nobody makes an account, so the great-aunt answers as fast as the best friend.

Pick the pieces your shower needs

Most showers use two or three of these. Each one opens ready to edit.

Co-hosts
Split the prep

A List with Food, Drinks and Setup sections, each with its own count. Hosts tick off the balloons and the cake as they go.

Big group gift
Chip in for the stroller

Start a Split and choose Chip-in. Set the target, pick who collects, and the ring fills as people mark their part paid. Money moves however your group already pays.

A virtual shower

An Event set to online keeps the video call link hidden until a guest RSVPs, so the link stays inside the guest list.

All of it
One link for the shower

A Hub holds the invite, the gift sheet and the prep list behind one link to pin in the chat. Its card leads with what is next.

Baby shower planner FAQ

Is it free?
Yes. The gift sheet, the invite and the prep list are free, with no account for the host or the guests.
Can guests see who is bringing which gift?
Yes. On the gift sheet each name sits beside its gift, which is what stops two people buying the same thing. If you would rather keep names out of it, use a List: a tick says a gift is taken, not by whom.
Who can see the gift list?
Only people you send the link to. Shared pages are not listed on CollectiveTap or in search results, so share it in the guests’ chat and decide whether the parents-to-be get it too.
Can I link to the registry?
Yes. Put the registry or store links in the sheet’s description, where they are clickable, and keep each row to the gift’s name and size.
Can I set an RSVP-by date?
Yes. The Event has an RSVP by date, a limit on plus-ones and an optional cap, and the card always shows the current count.
Can I close the sign-up when it is full?
Yes. Your private organizer link can edit any row, change the columns or close the sheet when every gift is taken.
