List the ideas

Open List and type or paste the ideas; each line becomes a row. Add section headings like Under $25 and Big-ticket, and a note row for sizes. Store links go in the description, where they are clickable.

Share with the givers

Post it in the chat that leaves out the birthday person. The card shows the list and the ticks so far, and the Board layout gives each section its own tile.

Tick what you are getting

Buying the headphones? Tick them. The next person to open the list sees them taken and picks something else, and each section keeps its own “2 of 5” count.

Is it free?

Yes. The List and the chip-in are both free, with no account for anyone.

Do people need to sign up?

No. One tap on the link opens the list, and one more ticks an item. There is no login, email or app.

Can I keep it secret from the recipient?

The link is only seen by the people you share it with. Share it with the givers, not the recipient, and the surprise is safe.

Can I add store links for each item?

Put store links in the list's description, where they are clickable. A URL typed into an item shows as plain text, so keep each item to the gift's name and say which link goes with it.

Can we pool money for one big gift?

Yes. A Split chip-in holds the target and who collects it, and everyone marks their share paid. People pay the collector however you already do; CollectiveTap tracks who has paid and handles no money itself.

Does the list show who is buying what?

A tick says an item is taken, not by whom. If names matter, use a Sheet with a sign-up column so each gift shows the name of the person getting it.
