Free Secret Santa Organizer —
No Sign-Up, No App

Skip the "create an account to see your match" routine. Share one link in your family chat or team Slack — participants add their name and wishlist. You pair them up with any random drawing method and you're done.

How to organize a Secret Santa

1
Set up the sheet

Columns: Name, Wishlist (link or text), and Budget. Add "Hints" if you want more context for gifters.

2
Share the link

Drop it in the family group chat or team Slack. Participants tap and add their info in seconds.

3
Do the draw

Once everyone's added, do a random shuffle and pair each person with the next on the list. DM each match privately.

No account wall for Grandma

Zero friction for participants

Every other Secret Santa tool makes participants create an account and verify their email. Not here. Tap, add your name, done.

🔐
No email harvesting

You don't need to hand over emails to a third party just to do a gift exchange. CollectiveTap doesn't need them.

🏠
Keeps everything in one chat

Your family chat is the coordination layer. The link updates live as each person adds themselves. No second app, no calendar invites.

Run it the way your group likes

A wishlist sheet works for every flavor of gift exchange.

Classic draw
Names plus wishlists

Everyone adds a row with their name and a wishlist link. You shuffle, pair each person with the next, and DM the matches privately. Two minutes, start to finish.

White elephant
Swap, no pairing

Skip the draw entirely. Use the sheet so everyone logs the gift they are bringing and a price cap — then steal-and-swap in person.

Family across cities
Ship-to addresses

Add a Mailing address column so out-of-town matches can ship directly, and a wishlist link so no one guesses sizes or colors.

Office exchange
Budget and theme

Set the cap in the title ('$25, books only') and add a Theme column. Everyone sees the rules the moment they open the link.

Run a drama-free gift exchange

🎲
Draw names without drawing yourself

Once everyone is in, shuffle the list and give each person the next name down — the last wraps back to the first. A self-draw becomes impossible. DM each match; never post the pairings.

🔕
Keep the surprise

The sheet is public to your group, so it is perfect for wishlists — not for the pairings. Matches live in private DMs, not on the link.

💸
Set the budget up front

Put the price cap in the link title so it shows on the preview card. No awkward ten-dollar-versus-hundred-dollar mismatch on gift day.

📅
Give wishlists a deadline

Add 'wishlists by Dec 10' to the title. People procrastinate; a visible date in every chat preview nudges them.

Secret Santa organizer FAQ

How do I draw names without drawing myself?
Shuffle the finished list and give each person the next name down, wrapping the last back to the first. That one rule makes a self-draw impossible. Then DM each match privately so the pairings stay secret.
Can I run a gift exchange without pairing names?
Yes. For a white elephant or Yankee swap, skip the draw — use the sheet only to track who is bringing what and the price cap, then steal-and-swap in person.
Is it really free?
Yes. Completely free, no account, no trial, no credit card.
Do participants need to sign up?
No. Everyone with the link adds their name and wishlist in one tap. No email verification, no app install.
Can it randomly assign Santas automatically?
CollectiveTap collects participants and wishlists; you do the pairing separately. The simplest method: shuffle the list and pair each person with the next one. DM each match privately via your group chat.
Can people add their own wishlist?
Yes — that's the point. Each participant adds their own row with a wishlist link (Amazon, Etsy, anywhere) or just text. No one has to collect them manually.
What about a budget?
Add a Budget column or just set a single budget in the sheet title (e.g. "Family Secret Santa — $30 budget"). Everyone sees it.
