Family Reunion Planner
That Lives in the Family Chat

A reunion or a holiday weekend at one house means a hundred messages: who is coming, how many kids, who sleeps where, who brings the turkey and what everyone owes for the rental. Put the plan behind one link instead. Every relative answers from their phone, from the teenagers to the grandparents, without an account.

How to plan it without a hundred messages

1
Start the plan

A Hub on the Family reunion plan opens with the weekend RSVP, a vote on the date, a rooms sheet, a dish sign-up, the shared costs and a note for the address. Rename them, drop what you do not need and add a link for anything else.

2
Count heads by household

One person answers for the household: Going, Maybe or Can’t go, plus how many they are bringing. The card shows the total, so the host knows how many beds and how much food.

3
Sort rooms and costs

A sign-up sheet puts a family next to each room, and a Split with shares lets a family of four carry four shares of the rental while a couple carries two.

Fewer messages for the person who always organizes

👵
Grandparents included

No app, no password, no account. If they can open a link in a text, they can RSVP and see who else is coming.

📌
One link to pin

The Hub holds every part of the plan, and each part links back to it, so nobody digs through the chat for the address again.

🧮
Fair shares, no math

Split works out who owes whom from what each household paid, and lists who should pay whom to settle up. CollectiveTap never touches the money.

Family reunion planner FAQ

Is it free?
Yes. The Hub and every link in it are free, with no account for anyone in the family.
Can one person answer for the whole household?
Yes. The RSVP has a guest count, so one person can say they are coming with three more. You choose how many each answer can bring, up to ten.
How do we split the rental fairly?
Use a Split with shares: give each household as many shares as people, and every cost is divided by shares instead of equally.
Does CollectiveTap collect the money?
No. It works out who owes whom and records payments when people mark them paid. The money moves however your family already pays each other.
Can relatives add their own links to the plan?
Yes. By default anyone with the Hub link can add a link, such as a carpool or a game-night poll. You can limit that to yourself in the Hub’s settings.
Does it work for Thanksgiving or other holidays?
Yes. Any gathering with a guest count, a list of dishes and a shared cost works the same way, at one house or a rental.
