Potluck hub —
dishes, RSVPs and the address
The two questions every potluck host answers forty times are “what should I bring?” and “where is it again?”. This plan answers both on one page, next to the RSVP, and the sign-up sheet fills itself as people claim dishes.
What this plan creates
The plan creates the potluck event, a sign-up sheet with Name, Bringing and Serves columns, a quick vote on the theme and a note with the address and parking. Guests claim a row on the sheet from their phone; the hub card shows how many spots are still open.

Because the sheet is a link of its own, you can share just the sheet in a smaller chat, or share the hub with everyone. Both point at the same rows, so a dish claimed in one place is claimed everywhere.
How to set it up
On the hub creator, pick the Potluck plan. The event, the dish sheet, the theme vote and the address note are queued up.
Type the potluck date and a few themes to vote on, or leave the vote out if the theme is settled.
Everyone RSVPs, claims a dish and reads the address from the same page. Re-paste the link and the card shows the updated counts.
What changes when it is one link
The sheet shows every dish already claimed, so the sixth person sees five desserts and brings a salad.
It sits on the hub page beside the RSVP, not eleven messages up in the chat.
A number column totals at the bottom, so you know if forty plates are covered before you buy a second ham.
Potluck hub FAQ
Can guests edit each other’s rows?
By default anyone with the link can add and edit rows. The sheet’s owner can tighten that to rows people added themselves.
What if the theme vote ties?
Close the vote from its admin link and pick; or leave it open longer. The hub card shows the leader either way.
Can I reuse the hub next year?
Better to start a new one from the template: dates and dish claims are specific to this potluck.
