Know what happened after you hit send.

Insights answer the three questions every organizer asks after sharing a link: did anyone see it, did it get passed along, and did people actually respond.

• Views: how many times the participant page was opened. Every open counts, so the same person opening it twice counts twice.
• Shares: how many times a chat app loaded the link's preview card. That happens each time the link is posted somewhere new, so it is a good proxy for how far the link travelled.
• Responses: the tool's own action, named in the tool's own words. A VoteLink counts votes, a SlotLink counts sign-ups, a SheetLink or NoteLink counts edits, and a ListLink, TaskLink, SplitLink or Hub counts updates.
• Activity over time: a chart of views and responses per hour, per day, or per week, depending on how old the link is. Hover or tap any bar to read the exact numbers for that period.
• Where people came from: WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or a copied link, split by iPhone, Android and computer when the app does not identify itself.
• Recent activity: a short feed of the latest opens, preview loads and responses, each with a relative time such as "4 min ago".

Two time periods are available: All time, from the moment the link was created, and Last 7 days, aligned to your local midnight so the days read the way you expect.

When you create any tool, CollectiveTap gives you two links: a participant link to share with the group and a private admin link to keep for yourself. Open the admin link and expand the admin panel at the top of the page. Insights are the first section, above the settings.

• Nothing to switch on. Insights are collected for every link from the moment it is created.
• Nothing to install. The panel loads inside the same page your participants see, only with the admin capability.
• Works on your phone. The layout is built for the screen you shared the link from. Numbers stack, the chart stretches to fit, and the touch readout follows your finger.

Link Insights are built on the same principle as the rest of CollectiveTap: the people who tap your link should not have to give anything up to take part. So the activity behind Insights is deliberately thin.

• No names, accounts or contacts. Participants never sign in, so there is nothing to attach a view to.
• No IP addresses in activity records. Each record holds the link, the kind of action, the time, and the chat app or device family it came from. That is enough to draw the chart and nothing more.
• No cross-link tracking. Every link's Insights are scoped to that link alone. There is no profile that follows a person from one link to the next.
• Admin-only, verified on the server. The numbers are served only after the server re-checks a signed admin capability for that specific link, the same check that protects editing and closing.

Because nobody is identified, Insights cannot tell you who opened the link or how many unique people did. That trade is on purpose. Read more in the privacy policy and the security overview.

The third headline number is always the tool's own action, so the panel reads naturally whichever tool you are running.

• VoteLink counts votes. See whether the poll stalled at ten views and two votes, or whether the group actually decided.
• SlotLink counts sign-ups. Compare views against sign-ups to know whether to nudge the chat again.
• ListLink, TaskLink and SplitLink count updates, so you can tell whether the list is being used or just looked at.
• NoteLink and SheetLink count edits.
• Hub counts updates to the Hub itself; each child link keeps its own Insights.
